Biodiversity Preservation is pioneering an eco-literacy program targeting students in the Mahebourg Region. The project will be delivering a series of practical workshops to build student capacity and for them to deliver an eco-literacy toolkit by students for students to address the proposed key areas issues. The idea is to integrate eco-literacy as a social and emotional process that cultivates the knowledge for a better understanding of how the natural world supports our existence while developing empathy and embracing sustainability as a collective action for future generations.
Within this project, Biodiversity Preservation has developed an e-library for students to nurture their knowledge on environmental and climate issues as well on existing solutions.

It all started in 2013 with a commitment to drive a paradigm in our way of consuming and producing under an umbrella vision “Grow your own health”. Inspired from Slow Food International principles, Biodiversity Preservation is slowly enfolding a seed to table experience where learning takes place in the heart of a garden connecting youth to nature, environment and food in a convivial ambiance. Over the years, a series of activities to grow youth as changemakers have been delivered cultivating meaningful engagement with our own health, health of our community and health of our planet.
